RCMP in Natuashish have charged two people for trying to smuggle liquor into the dry community.
Community Safety Officers sought the assistance of the RCMP in checking the bags of people who had arrived on the coastal ferry on September 8th.
The safety officers located and confiscated approximately $4,800 worth of liquor hidden in the bags belonging to two passengers.
RCMP say the liquor had been removed from its original packaging and had been transferred into different containers.
