Emotions can easily boil over in the world of sport but a new campaign aims to keep the language and actions of competitors, fans and others to a tasteful display, not of hatred marred with racial overtones.
Sport Newfoundland and Labrador has launched a campaign aimed to bring attention to the disgraceful side of sports where the line between racism and hatred becomes confused with the desire to emerge the victor in one’s chosen activity.

Troy Croft, the executive director of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador, says that stuff is not part of the game.
They have created a website whereby people can report such activity. He’s asking everyone to become involved in stamping out racism as the province is home to a large Indigenous population and has welcome a lot of newcomers over the past number of years.
