RNC responded to a theft in progress Sunday afternoon after a neighbour reported a man stealing a child’s bike in the east end of St. John’s.
Officers chased the suspect down a hiking trail where he was eventually caught and arrested.
The 33-year-old man was charged with theft under and resisting arrest. He will appear in court at a later date.
The bike was recovered and returned its owner.
