The Salvation Army Grand Falls Citadel is offering its thanks to the owner of a new restaurant in town who decided to give back to the community.
Community Ministry Coordinator Leighton Foster says Arabind M’samy stopped by with a donation worth about $250 for their food sharing program. M’samy used tips he received at his newly-opened restaurant to fund the donation.
Foster says he was surprised that M’samy could find such generosity having only been open for four to five weeks.
Anyone hoping to make a donation to utilize the food sharing service in Grand Falls-Windsor can contact the Salvation Army at (709) 489-1995.
