The company which was erroneously sent information from the Labour Relations Board on the identities of employees involved in an organizing drive says it has been doing business in full compliance with labour legislation.
The Carpenters Union says Grieg in Marystown laid-off workers during a statutory freeze period when employers are not allowed to hire, fire, lay off or make changes to working conditions.
Grieg says they cooperated with the board in addressing the board’s error. The company also says it respects employees’ choice whether or not to be represented by a union.
