A group of animal lovers came together to aid the cat population on Bell Island last week.
Bell Island Cat Rescue Inc. partnered with the Avalon Animal Hospital in Logy Bay to conduct a Trap-Neuter-Return operation, which saw some 110 outdoor cats spayed or neutered and vaccinated.
The clinic covered the cost of the procedures, and one lucky technician found themselves the proud owner of a new pet.
Bell Island Cat Rescue thanked Avalon Animal Hospital for all it has done and continues to do for the community, pointing to a cat population that it says in a Facebook comment is “way out of control.”
