A federal cabinet shuffle is in the works for today reportedly to accommodate a minister who is stepping down for “personal reasons.”
Reports out of Ottawa indicate that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will make some changes to a couple of portfolios but is not believed to be making major changes to some of the higher-ranking ministries.
Political analyst and Vice-Chair of Summa Strategies, Tim Powers, says Minister Seamus O’Regan is among those who are rumoured to be on the move.
Powers says O’Regan is reportedly in Norway, but that doesn’t mean that he can’t or won’t be shuffled.
The House of Commons will resume sitting on September 19.
