The recipient of this year’s Collision Clinic Enriching Lives Car Giveaway says she is looking forward to the freedom that comes with her new vehicle.

Yesterday, Alana Walsh, her daughter Georgia and son Liam were gifted a 2023 Chevrolet Malibu, which had been fixed up by company workers who volunteered their time.

Walsh recalls the moment she found out that she was this year’s recipient.

She chuckles while explaining that she scared her son when the call came. Alana was very loud and crying, so she had to calm her son down and explain to him that it was a happy moment.)

Walsh says having the car will “open so many doors and lift so many barriers” for them.

She says travelling on Metrobus is very time consuming, and by the time she gets home and takes care of her kids and other duties around the house, it doesn’t leave much time for anything else. She says having a reliable vehicle will give her more time with her family and “take the stress out of everything.”
