A 33-year-old man has been charged with impaired following a snowmobile crash in Clarenville on Wednesday.
It happened just before 4:30 p.m. to reports of a snowmobile that had veered off a trail and over a steep embankment near Manitoba Drive.
First responders worked together to locate, rescue, and medically assess the man.
RCMP say the driver, who suffered injuries which were not life threatening, showed signs of impairment, refused the breathalyzer, and refused to identify himself.
The man is set to appear in court at a later date to face a list of related charges.
Charges include: refusing to comply with a breath demand, resisting or obstructing a police officer, operating an off-road vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs and failing to provide required information to a peace officer on demand.
