A man has been arrested and charged in connection with an armed robbery in Happy Valley-Goose Bay on Tuesday.

Police say two people, armed and wearing masks, broke into a home on Brett Street and assaulted one of the persons inside.

Both suspects fled the area but not before removing items from inside the home.

Now, 38-year-old Kieran Alexander Pardy is facing numerous charges including break and enter, robbery, and assault with a weapon.

He appeared in court today and is being held in custody. His next court appearance is in September.
