44-year-old Chris Power was silent as he entered the courtroom. Dressed in sweats, he stared straight ahead during his five-minute appearance as Judge Bruce Short, the Crown, and defence hashed out how they want to proceed with the case.
Crown counsel Allison Doyle has asked for a publication ban on the identity of the alleged victim, something defence lawyer Jeff Slade agreed to.
The Crown asked to defer election while awaiting a criminal record check.
Power meanwhile, remains free on several court-imposed conditions until his next court appearance January 13th.
