Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned sleuth, the Family History Society is inviting people from across the province to attend its Rockbound Roots genealogy conference in St. John’s next month.
Private genealogist and member of the Family History Society, Craig Morrisey, says the three-day conference is packed with guest speakers from around the world, including keynote speaker David Allan Lambert.
Williams calls Lambert, the chief genealogist of the New England Historical and Genealogical Society, a “rockstar” in the genealogy world. Not only is Lambert going to St. John’s to speak on the topic, but he’s also going to do some research of his own while there, because he has roots in the St. Lawrence area.
The conference gets underway with a social event at the Railway Museum on July 25th, followed by two days of panels and speakers at The Rooms.
