A 23-year-old has been charged after an attempted traffic stop in Happy Valley-Goose Bay on Friday.
RCMP attempted to stop a vehicle on Lyall Street around noon on Friday in connection with suspected drug activity.
The driver, identified as Benjamin Gregoire, failed to pull over and sped away.
Patrol located the suspect vehicle an hour or so later abandoned on a trail behind the town hall.
Gregoire was located in Sheshatshiu and arrested with the help of Sheshatshiu RCMP.
He’s now facing charges of dangerous driving, flight from police, resisting arrest, possession of cocaine, and failing to comply with a release order.
