The Royal Canadian Legion Newfoundland and Labrador Command is mourning the passing of Comrade Rev. Ian Wishart.
In a social media post, the Legion says Wishart was a dedicated supporter of the local military community and an active member at the provincial level.
He regularly delivered blessings and messages during Remembrance Day and Memorial Day ceremonies.
Wishart was given a standing ovation last year in the House of Assembly as he was recognized for his decades of service
He was 95.
