A 28-year-old man from Manitoba was arrested and charged after allegedly threatening a cab driver in Pynn’s Brook and stealing his taxi.
RCMP in Deer Lake got the call around 10:30 Thursday morning.
Police say the suspect was taken into custody in Deer Lake where he provided breath samples that were four times the legal limit.
The accused is facing charges of uttering threats, vehicle theft, and impaired driving. He’s expected to appear in provincial court in April.
His licence was also suspended.
