It’s boating season, and while there are many checks people can do to improve their chances on the water their number one priority, according to the Head of the School of Maritime Studies Kris Drodge, should be wearing a life jacket.
Drodge says wearing a life jacket is something that is simply “non-negotiable.”
He says people tend to bring them on board, and make sure children have them on, but the adults don’t wear it themselves.
“that’s not right, that’s the wrong choice to make.” said Drodge.
