It’s another positive sign as the Conception Bay North Shore rises from the ashes of last year’s wildfires.
The popular swimming hole at Broad Cove Brook has reopened to the public after a clean-up and remediation program at Melvin Burden Memorial Ball Park that included the help of volunteers with Newfoundland Power earlier this year.
The town of Small Point-Adam’s Cove-Blackhead-Broad Cove is offering its thanks to Jason Butt for his work in adding to the design concept of the remediation project.
The town says his “efforts have helped transform” the area into a “space that can once again be enjoyed by residents and visitors” alike.
