The provincial government has announced four more contracts awarded for $21 million worth of road work.
It’s part of $225 million in infrastructure spending announced for this year and a portion of the more than $1 billion in funding allotted over the next five years.
JCL Investments was awarded a $9.4 million contract for work in the Bide Arm, Port aux Choix, Cow Head, St. Barbe, Reefs Harbour and Croque areas.
Marine Contractors was awarded a $5.4 million contract for culvert replacement between Corner Brook and Pynn’s Brook Weigh Scales as well as work on the ramp to Humber Village.
Nortech Construction will widen, pave and install sidewalks and replace culverts along a section of McGettigan Boulevard in Marystown under a $4.3 million contract, while Municipal Construction will remove and replace sections of asphalt along the Trans-Canada on the Avalon Peninsula under a $1.7 million contract.
